Udaipur, In line with the directives of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur organized a painting competition on Thursday at St. Anthony Senior Secondary School, Balicha, under the nationwide program “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala ke Sang” being celebrated as part of Seva Parv 2025.
WZCC Director Furkan Khan informed that the competition was based on the theme of a Developed India and is part of a series of similar events being held across the country.
Guests Highlighted the Value of Art and Vision
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Shobhalal Audichya (Senior Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Udaipur), Dr. Meena Baya (Retired Principal, Meera Girls’ College), and Dr. Omprakash Soni (Bijolia) as chief guests.
Addressing the students, Dr. Audichya said their artistic work was of a high standard and reflected a strong vision for a developed India. He emphasized that India is not behind in any sector and highlighted the importance of integrating art with education while preserving traditional art forms. Students expressed their imagination of a developed India through vibrant paintings.
Upcoming Competitions in Shilpgram and Meera Girls’ College
Continuing the series, a professional artists’ painting competition will be held at Shilpgram on September 27, along with another competition at Meera Girls’ College, Udaipur.
The program was attended by Hemant Mehta (Executive Officer, WZCC), Sunil Nimavat (Program Assistant), Siddhant D’Souza (Vice Principal, St. Anthony Sr. Sec. School), and Snehlata Chauhan (Art Teacher), among others.
