Preparatory Meeting Held for Cooperative Membership Drive

Sriganganagar, A review meeting was held on Thursday at the head office auditorium of The Ganganagar Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., chaired by Rakesh Sharma, the district supervisory officer appointed by the state government, to discuss preparations for the upcoming Cooperative Membership Drive.

The meeting was attended by Managing Director Sanjay Garg, Deputy Registrar (Cooperative Societies) Sriganganagar Deepak Kukkad, Deputy Registrar Anupgarh Priyanka Jangid, Special Auditor Amitabh Diwakar, Rajeevika District Coordinator Ravindra Kumar, nodal officers of the bank, office inspectors, and the General Manager of the wholesale depot.

Campaign to Run from October 2 to 15

Managing Director Sanjay Garg announced that the membership campaign will be conducted from October 2 to October 15, 2025, across all Gram Seva Cooperative Societies. The main objective of the initiative is to inform youth and women about cooperative laws and encourage their participation, thereby enabling them to access various government welfare schemes.

Garg appreciated inspector Vikas Godara for completing land demarcation work for three societies in the Anupgarh unit and urged all departments to celebrate the campaign as a festival of cooperation. He also directed officials to ensure 100% Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme for all remaining beneficiaries.

Focus on Land Allocation and Inclusion of Women

Deputy Registrar Deepak Kukkad briefed inspectors on the process of land identification and allocation for landless cooperative societies. Deputy Registrar Priyanka Jangid shared progress on land demarcation in three Gram Seva Cooperative Societies in Anupgarh, including one society where land allocation has been completed.

Rajeevika District Coordinator Ravindra Kumar emphasized connecting more women members from Rajeevika groups to the campaign and provided details of block-wise CLF managers.

Key Directives for a Successful Campaign

District Supervisory Officer Rakesh Sharma outlined the campaign’s key priorities, including land allotment to cooperative societies, increasing membership, and forming new PACS units. He urged officials to maximize the involvement of youth and women and secure cooperation from public representatives to ensure the campaign’s success.

To ensure effective coordination and preparation, Sharma directed that a video conference of CLF managers, block inspectors, branch managers, and loan supervisors be held on September 26, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
