Inauguration of Namo Health Check-up and Nutrition Camp in Thekra
Kota – Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the Namo Health Check-up and Nutrition Camp along with the Healthy Women, Empowered Families campaign at Thekra, Kota, on Wednesday. The event was organized under the “Seva Pakhwada” to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, Birla distributed nutrition kits to pregnant women and remarked that the Prime Minister’s life is a true symbol of service and dedication, which inspires everyone to reaffirm their commitment to social service.
The event was attended by Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma, Ladpura MLA Kalpana Devi, former minister Ramgopal Bairwa, senior leader Pankaj Mehta, former Deputy Mayor Sunita Vyas, Pt. Govind Sharma, Anusuya Goswami, Mayor Rajeev Bharti, and other public representatives.
Birla stated that under this campaign, timely detection of diseases such as cancer, anemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell anemia will be ensured for women and children. He added that special focus will be placed on nutrition improvement, obesity prevention, and awareness of healthy lifestyles. The initiative, he said, will not only strengthen maternal and child health but also contribute to building a healthier future generation for the nation.
Thousands of Women Benefited
Highlighting ongoing initiatives in the Kota–Bundi parliamentary region, Birla mentioned the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan and Hospital on Wheels, which have already benefitted thousands of pregnant women. He emphasized that the goal is to extend healthcare services to the remotest villages and hamlets. Future plans include developing Kota as a medical tourism hub and a dedicated medical city. Projects such as the Cancer Unit, a satellite hospital in Ladpura, and Ramashray Bhavan with dignified accommodation for patients’ families are part of this vision.
Inspiration from Prime Minister Modi’s Life
Birla concluded by saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life, from childhood until today, has been entirely dedicated to the service of the nation and society. His philosophy of “Seva hi Sangathan” (Service is Organization) continues to inspire every individual.
