Grand Celebration of Maharaja Shri Agrasen Ji’s 5149th Birth Anniversary in Udaipur
Udaipur. The 5149th birth anniversary of Shri Shri 1008 Maharaja Shri Agrasen Ji will be celebrated with grandeur and devotion in Udaipur this year. The Shri Agrasen Jayanti Mahotsav Committee has prepared a series of programs in which the entire Agarwal community will actively participate.
Social and Cultural Programs
The festivities will begin on 17th September with cow service and distribution of green fodder at the Gaushala located at Mahakal Temple. On 18th September, fruits will be distributed to patients at MB Hospital. To promote environmental conservation, a tree plantation drive will be organized at Gulab Bagh on 19th September, with the target of planting a large number of saplings.
On 21st September, a grand vehicle rally will be taken out under the banner of Shri Vaishnav Agarwal Samaj, starting from Shri Agarwal Bhavan, Surajpol, and passing through various routes of the city.
Main Day Celebration and Grand Procession
The main celebration will take place on 22nd September, beginning with havan, pujan, and flag hoisting at Shri Agarwal Bhavan, Surajpol. At 3:30 pm, a grand procession will be taken out from the Nimbark College premises, passing through Surajpol, Jhiniret Chowk, Dhanmandi, Delhi Gate, Bapu Bazaar, and Fateh Memorial, before returning to the Nimbark campus.
Men in saffron turbans and women in traditional attire will participate in the procession, with many women carrying sacred kalash. The best-dressed participants in traditional costumes will be honored during the cultural evening.
Cultural Evening and Prize Distribution
After the procession, a community feast (Mahaprasadi) will be organized. In the evening, a cultural program and prize distribution ceremony will take place, where the talented members of the community will be felicitated.
Active Participation of Community Leaders
To ensure smooth and memorable celebrations, guidance and support have been extended by leaders of various Agarwal Samaj organizations. Several committees, including those for food, kalash yatra, stage management, cultural evening, prize distribution, tent-light and sound, photography, publicity, and welcome gates, have been formed to oversee the arrangements.
