Launches Widest-Ever 11mm Super-Wide 8K Lens
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 12, 2025. Canon Europe has announced the launch of its widest-ever Cine-Servo lens, the Canon CN5x11 IAS T R1/P1, designed to deliver unmatched versatility for both broadcast and cinematic production. With an ultra-wide 11mm focal length and an expansive 100-degree angle of view, the new lens is well-suited for confined studio environments and dynamic live events, offering seamless framing of both subject and setting.
Available in RF or PL mount, the CN5x11 IAS T R1/P1 incorporates Canon’s latest e-Xs V Digital Drive Unit, delivering enhanced servo control, responsive iris adjustment, and USB-C connectivity. At approximately 3kg, it is the lightest Cine-Servo lens to date, making it ideal for use with gimbals, cranes, robotics, wire cams, or even shoulder-mounted shooting.

The lens also supports advanced metadata workflows. In PL mount, it is compatible with Cooke /i Technology™ and ZEISS eXtended Data™ for real-time metadata output, while the RF mount provides enhanced features including Dual Pixel CMOS AF support and advanced distortion correction.
