Army Commander’s Polo Cup 2025 Held in Jaipur Military Station
Kognivera Stallions lift the coveted title after defeating Thunderbolt (Army Red) 8–2½ in the grand finale
Jaipur, The Army Commander’s Polo Cup 2025, the prestigious curtain raiser of the 2025–26 Polo Season, was concluded with grandeur at the 61 Cavalry Polo Ground, Jaipur. Organised by the South Western Command, the week-long championship (01–08 September 2025) featured the country’s finest polo talent across six highly competitive teams.
The local favourite Jaipur Polo Team exited the tournament at the semi-final stage after being defeated by Kognivera Stallions. In the other semi-final, Thunderbolt (Army Red), led by Lt Col Vishal Chouhan of the 61st Cavalry, stormed into the finals with a commanding win over the Gohilwad Polo Team.
The grand finale on 08 September 2025 turned into a thrilling contest between Kognivera Stallions and Thunderbolt. Displaying superior coordination and dominance, the Kognivera Stallions clinched the coveted trophy with a decisive 8–2½ victory.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony in which Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command, felicitated the winners and runners-up. He commended the spirited performances of all the participating teams and encouraged them to continue raising the bar in future championships.
The Army Commander’s Polo Cup 2025 once again reaffirmed Jaipur’s legacy as the epicentre of Indian Polo, setting the stage for an exhilarating 2025–26 polo season.
