Research on Women Empowerment and Sustainability in Textile Industry
Bhilwara:Rajesh Bhatt has been conferred the prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management by Mewar University, Chittorgarh, an institution accredited with NAAC “A” grade.
His doctoral thesis, titled “Achieving Sustainability in Corporate through Women Empowerment: A Study in Textile Industries in Bhilwara”, was completed under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Chetali Agrawal.
In his research, Bhatt examined the critical role women employees play in driving sustainability within corporate structures when empowered at every organizational level—from the shop floor to senior management. Focusing on Bhilwara, popularly known as the “Textile City of India”, the study highlights how gender inclusivity, equal opportunities, and women’s participation in decision-making act as essential catalysts for sustainable growth.
The findings are expected to offer significant insights for industries seeking to blend sustainability goals with workforce diversity, particularly in India’s textile sector.
