Jaipur. United Global Peace Foundation has been working tirelessly for social upliftment, harmony, and inclusiveness, embracing the ancient Indian philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family). The foundation functions with a secular, non-political, and employment-oriented approach, aiming to improve the living standards of tribal and marginalized communities worldwide.
The organization is led by its founder and administrator, Meghraj Singh Royal. Supporting him in leadership are Director Shakti Singh, Brigadier Jitendra Singh Shekhawat, and Director & Advisor Dr. Vikrant Tomar, who play pivotal roles in shaping the foundation’s initiatives.
A delegation from Soft Hockey India, led by Dr. Gajendra Singh Rathore and accompanied by Dr. Ramesh Singh, Sahib Indrajit Singh Shekhawat, and other officials, visited the foundation in Jaipur today. Former Vice Chancellor Prof. Amarika Singh was also present during the interaction.
During the meeting, it was decided that a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will soon be signed between United Global Peace Foundation and Soft Hockey India. Under this collaboration, the “Khelo India” program will be extended to more children, particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds. Essential hockey kits and resources will be provided to underprivileged students to encourage their participation in sports.
Director Shakti Singh informed that the foundation has also been supporting underprivileged students by enabling their admission in reputed schools, guiding them in preparation for competitive examinations, and even arranging free mass marriages for daughters of needy families.
Additionally, the foundation has recently launched a Hotel and Tourism Training Program, aimed at providing free training to students from rural Rajasthan. Post training, these students will be equipped with opportunities for employment at both national and international levels in the hospitality sector.
Prof. Amarika Singh, former Vice Chancellor, assured that Soft Hockey India will directly interact with these students and, if required, universities will extend the facility of offering degree courses free of charge to deserving candidates.
