Three-Day State-Level 6th Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 Concludes in Udaipur

Udaipur: The three-day State-Level 6th Yogasana Sports Championship 2025, organized jointly by R.Y.S.A. Society Yogasana Bharat and Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, concluded at the auditorium of the Agriculture College, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth. The competition, held for participants aged 18 to 55, witnessed over 350 yoga enthusiasts from various districts of Rajasthan. Winners across different categories were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals, while referees from participating districts were honored with shawls and mementos.

The closing ceremony commenced with a floral tribute and lamp lighting before Goddess Saraswati’s idol, performed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shivsinh Sarangdevot, Chancellor Bhanwar Lal Gurjar, Secretary Sandeep Kasniya, Chairperson Dimple Solanki, Prof. Saroj Garg, and Vice-Chair Dr. Rohit Kumawat.

In his address, Prof. Sarangdevot emphasized the significance of yoga, stating: “Asanas are not just a part of yoga—they form the foundation of life. Through asanas, one attains self-reflection and a closer connection with the divine. Yoga embodies human values, and it is essential to integrate it into daily life.”

Championship Results:

  • Senior Group (Men): Gold – Pawan Matta (Jodhpur), Silver – Vishal Kumar (Jhunjhunu), Bronze – Abhishek Jangid (Jaipur)

  • Women’s Group: Gold – Ishika Kumawat (Sikar), Silver – Lakshita (Bikaner), Bronze – Sonia Acharya (Jodhpur)

  • General Men’s Category: Gold – Arjun Parihar (Jodhpur), Silver – Koshik Vairagi (Ajmer), Bronze – Chirag Parmar (Jalore)

  • Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Participants: Ranjana Rana and Bhumi Gurjar received bronze medals.

The event was attended by Bharat Pal Singh, Harvinder Singh, Suresh Kumar, Karnipal Singh, Balram Singh, Gajraj Shaktawat, Rakesh Suthar, Rakshat Layat, Dr. Ami Rathod, Dr. Rachna Rathod, Private Secretary Krishnakant Kumawat, Dr. Mamta Kumawat, Saurabh Singh, Dr. Subhash Purohit, and several students. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Rohit Kumawat, while Dr. Payal Kumawat conducted the event.

The championship successfully highlighted the spirit, skill, and dedication of yoga practitioners across Rajasthan, promoting wellness and the holistic practice of yoga among participants of all ages.
