Banswara. Under the aegis of Shelby Multi-Specialty Hospitals, Ahmedabad, and in association with IMA Banswara, a grand Continuing Medical Education (CME) program was organized at Hotel Utsav. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Tripura Sundari. On this occasion, Dr. Ajit Kothari and Dr. Pankaj Dosi warmly welcomed the distinguished guest experts.
Expert sessions on diverse topics
Renowned speakers shared insightful knowledge during the CME. Dr. Mihir Shah (Consultant, Head & Neck and Breast Oncoplastic Surgery – Surgical Oncology) elaborated on “Myths and Awareness about Cancer.” Dr. Kandarp Nimavat (Consultant Cardiologist) delivered a valuable lecture on “CT Coronary Calcium Score and CT Coronary Angiography.” Dr. Tushit Mewada (Endovascular Neuro Surgery) shed light on “Hybrid Neuro Surgery – A New Era.”
New memberships and tributes
On this occasion, Dr. Karvi Mehta and Dr. Naini Gupta joined as members of IMA. A tribute was paid to the untimely demise of Rajeev Bhatt, grandson of the late eminent physician of Banswara, Dr. Ichhashankar Bhatt, with a two-minute silence observed in his memory.
IMA’s role and future vision
The welcome address was delivered by IMA President Dr. Munavvar Hussain, while the vote of thanks was extended by Secretary Dr. D.K. Goyal. Members appreciated the CME, stating that such events provide doctors with updated medical knowledge and help improve healthcare services in Banswara.
CMHO Dr. Khushpal Singh Rathore and Principal of Government Medical College Banswara, Dr. Yogesh, emphasized that in the near future, Banswara will emerge as a prominent center with advanced medical resources and specialist doctors.
