Jaipur: The Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) is among the largest voluntary organisations in India, committed to the welfare of army families. AWWA extends comprehensive support to wives, Veer Naris, and dependents of army personnel through initiatives in education, vocational training, healthcare and emotional well-being. AWWA is commonly known as ‘Invisible Hand of the Army’ because it supports those families who contribute invisibly in strengthening the Army.

Sapta Shaktı AWWA celebrated 59th AWWA Day with pride and enthusiasm at Sapta Shakti Auditorium on 23 Aug 25. The event was graced by Mrs Barinder Jit Kaur, Regional President AWWA as Chief Guest, along with the senior most Veteran Lady, Veer Naris and other esteemed dignitaries.

In the run-up to AWWA Day, the organisation hosted a number of events. A ‘two days Medical Camp’ offering comprehensive screening for lifestyle diseases - Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, Anaemia, Vision Care & Cancer (Mammography & Pap Smear) was organised on 19 & 20 Aug 2025. In addition, various other activities promoting women empowerment and importance of Nari Shakti were also carried out.

Finally, on 23 Aug 2025, an enthralling programme at Sapta Shakti Auditorium was organised. President AWWA extended her greetings and best wishes on this occasion through video message. On this moment, Regional President also conveyed her felicitations to the entire AWWA fraternity. The programme featured vibrant cultural performances by students of Army Public School Jaipur which added colour and charm to the event.

On this auspicious occasion, a landmark MoU was signed between FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter & SWC AWWA. This collaboration signifies a joint resolve to empower women through skill development, digital literacy and entrepreneurship, thereby paving the way
for new opportunities and growth. The event also included a felicitation ceremony honouring contributors, APS Students and AWWA awardees for their dedicated contributions.

The celebration of the 59th AWWA Day truly reflected the enduring spirit of solidarity: service and empowerment that AWWA has championed over the decades.
