79th Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at St. Anthony’s

 

Udaipur – On the occasion of 15th August, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and patriotic fervor at St. Anthony’s School. Media in-charge Vikas Sahu informed that students presented a variety of programs including parade, patriotic dances, poems, and skits. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony by Principal William D’Souza, while Mrs. Jacy D’Souza extended heartfelt wishes of Independence Day to students and parents.

The school management organized a felicitation ceremony to honor students who excelled in the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations, along with achievers in sports. In his address, Principal D’Souza reminded students of the sacrifices of freedom fighters and stressed the importance of education, discipline, and responsibility in nation-building.

The cultural program featured patriotic songs, speeches, poems, and dances, which left the audience mesmerized and filled the atmosphere with patriotic emotions. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets, as the school premises echoed with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”

Under the banner of Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides, the school’s Scouts and Guides team, led by teacher Usha Sharma, participated in the grand parade at Gandhi Ground and received appreciation for their excellent performance. Tributes were also paid to freedom fighters and martyrs through various cultural presentations by the students.
