Udaipur – Dr. Nishant Ashwani, Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur, has brought pride to the city and the state by successfully clearing the prestigious MRCP (Neurology), UK examination — a qualification recognised internationally and accredited by the Royal College of Physicians, London, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. The MRCP (Neurology) represents a hallmark of expertise, deep knowledge, and excellence in neurology at global standards.
Training and assessment for MRCP (Neurology) are regarded as the highest level in the UK medical system. Achieving this credential certifies a physician’s proficiency in treating complex neurological disorders, as well as mastery over the latest diagnostic equipment, medicines, advanced techniques, and an in-depth understanding of global research and innovations in neurology. This milestone signifies recognition at the highest level in the global medical community.
Dr. Ashwani completed his DM in Neurology at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, where he also served as President of the Resident Doctors’ Association. He earned top ranks in pre-DM entrance examinations in both Delhi and Rajasthan, further validating his academic excellence.
Recently, Dr. Ashwani was appointed State Co-Chairman of IMA MSN by the Rajasthan State Branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA). He currently serves as Vice President (2025–2027) of IMA Udaipur and Secretary (2024–2025) of IAP Udaipur. He is also a lifetime member of the American Headache Society, the Indian Academy of Neurology, and the National Medicos Organisation, remaining actively engaged in both research and community service.
