Udaipur, Details of the press conference held by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on 7 August 2025 at the Indira Gandhi Bhawan, Congress Headquarters, New Delhi — where he revealed alleged methods of “vote theft” — were disseminated among party officials and workers by the Udaipur (Rural) and Udaipur (City) District Congress Committees through digital platforms.
Udaipur (Rural) District Congress spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit stated that as per the Constitution, every citizen has the right to one vote, but the revelations made in the press conference indicate that the “one person–one vote” concept is no longer being followed. In such circumstances, he added, the vision of a healthy democracy cannot be realised without a clean and accurate voter list.
At a programme organised at the Sub-City Centre Congress office in Savina, Congress officials and workers were briefed about Rahul Gandhi’s statements and the exposed methods of “vote theft.” They were instructed to spread this information through their respective social media platforms and to raise awareness among the public in their areas about preventing such practices.
Addressing the media after the presentation, Udaipur (Rural) District Congress President Kachru Lal Choudhary said that “vote theft” was a crime against democracy and those involved would not be forgiven. He stressed that this was no longer a political fight but a struggle to save the soul of the nation and the Constitution. Calling it a grave threat to democracy, he urged united action to protect voting rights.
Udaipur (City) District Congress President Fateh Singh Rathore stated that “vote theft” was a conspiracy to destroy the Constitution, and that the people — particularly the youth — had begun to understand the truth. He said that those engaging in such practices could no longer hide. Comparing the fight to Mahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March, he said Congress workers would struggle from the streets to the Parliament to save democracy.
He further alleged that, despite Rahul Gandhi presenting evidence during the press conference, the Election Commission was unwilling to act, and the nation could see whose influence was at play.
The event was attended by Kachru Lal Choudhary, Fateh Singh Rathore, Salumber assembly candidate Reshma Meena, Block President Ajay Singh, District Congress General Secretary Laxmi Narayan Meghwal, District Congress Spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, City Congress General Secretary Dinesh Dave, Siddharth Soni, Najma Mevafrosh, Madan Singh Babarwal, Hidayatullah, Devendra Mali, Amit Shrivastava, Bhanu Pratap Gurjar, Amit Suhalka, Chandraveer Gurjar, Mandal President Satyanarayan Tank, Mayank Khamesra, Shyam Sundar Gurjar, Dinesh Audichya, Mahendra Damor, Sandeep Chaudhary, Suresh Solanki, Gopal Sarpata, Mangi Lal Gurjar, Laxmi Lal Soni, Arjun Singh Chundawat, Om Prakash Dangi, Basant Mathur, Bansi Lal Gawariya, along with several other officials and Congress workers.
