Bhilwara, Sangam University, Bhilwara, has emerged as a front-runner among India’s private universities, achieving significant milestones in academic excellence, innovation, research, and global partnerships during the 2024–25 session. It has been honored with the prestigious "Emerging University Award" by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with IIT Bombay as part of the National Geospatial Awards 2025. Sangam was the only university from Rajasthan to receive this honor.

At a press conference, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Karunesh Saxena announced that Sangam University secured 37th place in the IIRF national rankings and ranked 3rd in Rajasthan. The award was received in Mumbai by Prof. Saxena along with Associate Professor Dr. Lokesh Kumar Tripathi of the Geoinformatics Department.
Sangam University has entered over a dozen significant MoUs in the past year with institutions across the UK, Vietnam, Malaysia, Dubai, and Bangladesh, as well as organizations like ISRO Start 2025, GirnarSoft, NISM, and others.
The university’s students brought laurels by winning both Champion and Runner-up titles in the National Business Simulation Games organized by AIMA in Coimbatore. Competing against 450+ institutions including MIT Pune, RIT Roorkee, and DBS Delhi, students like Navansh Jagetiya, Priyanshu Rathi, and Neeti Vyas showcased exceptional business acumen.
The university’s innovation cell, Sangam Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (Sangam I-TBI), was inaugurated in Delhi by Union Science & Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. A project worth ₹4.33 crores was sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Academic and competitive achievements included NET (Law), GATE rankings, wildlife research selections, moot court wins, and extensive participation in sports and NCC/NSS camps across India. Students excelled in cricket, karate, volleyball, and athletics, with representation at national camps like IMA Dehradun and Army Attachment Camps.
Sangam also received ICSSR funding of ₹1.5 lakhs to organize a seminar on “Geospatial Perspectives for National Security”. The university is now handling its 25th government-funded project. Additionally, it became one of the first institutions to implement the UGC-mandated Indian Knowledge System (IKS) curriculum integrating traditional Indian astronomy, ethics, and human values.
Top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Reliance, IBM, Airtel, ICICI, and Tata have selected students with high packages. Over 100 companies participated in campus placements. Initiatives like HR conclaves, IT symposiums, MDPs, industrial visits, and certification programs (NPTEL, ISRO, AWS Academy, TCS iON) further enhanced student employability.
The university also established alumni chapters in Jaipur and Ahmedabad, supported by strong alumni networks and student societies ranging from cultural and literary clubs to green initiatives and technical forums.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Saxena emphasized the necessity of innovation in education amid global challenges and credited the vision of Chairman Shri Rampal Soni for promoting student welfare through scholarships. Currently, the university offers programs across Engineering, Management, Law, Agriculture, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Arts, and Vocational streams.
Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manas Ranjan Panigrahi highlighted that the faculty has published over 750 research papers and filed 120+ patents, establishing Sangam as a leader in academic research.
Registrar Dr. Alok Kumar added that all programs are UGC and council-approved, and the university welcomes students and faculty from across the country.
