“Write, Create, Live, and Speak Fearlessly” – Anil Saxena's Call at Salumber

Salumber, Rajasthan – Under the banner of Rajasthan Media Action Forum, a special literary discussion and lecture on Indian culture, literature, and media was held at Vrindavan Hotel, Salumber on Sunday. The event was a part of the statewide ‘Rajasthan Literary Movement’, drawing participation from prominent journalists, writers, and social thinkers.

Presiding over the event, senior journalist and literary figure Anil Saxena ‘Lalkar’, founder-president of Rajasthan Media Action Forum, passionately called upon the audience to “Rise, Speak, Write, and Change the World with Your Thoughts.” He emphasized that literature and journalism are powerful tools to influence social change.

Saxena further envisioned, “A Rajasthan where every person creates with the pen, decorates with art, lives through culture, and speaks through fearless journalism.” His thoughts struck a deep chord with those seeking to strengthen the cultural and literary identity of the state.

In-depth Panel Discussions Held

The event featured detailed discussions on the interplay of Indian culture, literature, and media. Saxena highlighted the essential harmony among these elements, stating that societal upliftment demands a union of cultural, literary, and journalistic efforts.

Veteran writer Narayan Tailor stressed the media's role in steering literature and culture in the right direction to foster positive societal transformation. Literary figure Veniram Suthar advocated for collaborative efforts between literature and media for building a strong society.

Social activist Yashwant Paliwal reflected on historical threats to Indian culture, stating, “The Mughals harmed Indian culture more than the British,” and lauded such events for promoting cultural and literary awareness.

Journalists and Writers Share Insights in Second Session

Journalist Dharmendra Sharma explained that the core aim of the discussion was to understand the relevance of culture, literature, and media in contemporary society. Author Dr. Poonjilal Varnoti emphasized that literature and media play a vital role in societal progress.

Journalist Suresh Tailor appreciated the initiative, calling it a valuable step towards literary and cultural enlightenment. Poet Rameshwar Chaubisa ‘Udas’ recited a stirring poem on Hadi Rani, adding emotional depth to the session.

Book Launch: “Rajasthan Ka Sahityik Andolan”

A highlight of the event was the launch of Anil Saxena 'Lalkar’s book “Rajasthan Ka Sahityik Andolan”, which documents key literary events across the state since 2010. The launch was met with admiration from the literary community, who hailed it as a historic record of Rajasthan’s literary journey.

Speaking at the launch, Girish Paliwal, state secretary of Rajasthan Media Action Forum, noted, “This book captures the essence of a decade-long movement that has enriched literature and culture across the state.”

Other Speakers

Eminent voices like Manoj Vyas, Kanhaiya Lal Soni, Kapil Mehta, Jayesh Samariya, Suresh Ladhoti, Atul Bhavsar, Ashok Rajawat, and Gajendra Chaubisa also shared their perspectives during the program.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Maa Saraswati. Dharmendra Sharma conducted the proceedings, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Girish Paliwal.

This powerful gathering reaffirmed literature’s role as a tool of cultural preservation and societal change, with Salumber standing as a vibrant node in Rajasthan’s ongoing literary awakening.
