Rotary Club Drishti Revives Heritage by Cleaning Three Historic Stepwells

Udaipur:Rotary Club Drishti, under the leadership of its patron Dr. Sweety Chhabra, carried out a large-scale cleaning drive of three historic stepwells in the city, transforming their appearance and bringing them back to life. This initiative is part of the Club's ongoing commitment to preserving Udaipur's cultural and architectural heritage.

With this latest effort, the club has successfully cleaned a total of 10 stepwells across the city. Dr. Chhabra shared that this ambitious project has been undertaken as a Signature Project by Rotary Club Drishti and will continue throughout the year.

As part of today’s activity, three more stepwells were cleaned, including the one located within the premises of the historic Sagasji Temple in Gulab Bagh. The cleaning not only enhanced the visual appeal of the structures but also brought attention to their cultural and historical significance.

Dr. Chhabra emphasized that this initiative goes beyond mere cleanliness. “This project sends a strong message about the importance of hygiene, while also inspiring people to protect and preserve our invaluable cultural heritage,” she said.

Rotary Club Drishti’s initiative stands as a shining example of civic responsibility and heritage conservation in action, aiming to blend environmental awareness with cultural preservation.
