Instructs Udaipur, Salumber, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh Collectors to Prepare Maximum Development Proposals

#### MP Dr. Rawat Expresses Concern Over Rajasthan’s Absence in Tribal Progress Presentation

Udaipur,  Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat expressed deep concern over the absence of any presentation or proposal slide related to Rajasthan during the meeting with the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs on the Dharti Aba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan. The MP emphasized the need for proactive participation from Rajasthan and directed district collectors of Udaipur, Salumber, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh to urgently prepare and submit maximum development proposals under the campaign.

Following the meeting, Dr. Rawat issued letters to the concerned collectors urging seriousness in this matter. He instructed them to coordinate closely with the state-level committee and study best practices implemented across the country under the campaign to formulate effective district-level proposals.

The meeting with the Union Tribal Affairs Minister focused on delivering the benefits of government schemes to tribal villages up to the saturation level. Specific directives were issued to collectors to identify and submit proposals for villages excluded from the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) due to not meeting the population criteria. Under the campaign, proposals can now be submitted even for hamlets with populations as low as 50 to be connected by roads.

The campaign also includes provisions for integrating "non-viable" villages that have been left out of core schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission, electrification, mobile connectivity, and anganwadi centers due to geographic or administrative constraints. Collectors have been told to include such settlements in their proposals.

Additionally, Dr. Rawat highlighted newly issued guidelines for home stay and fisheries schemes and urged collectors to review and implement them at the block level under the Swadesh Darshan initiative. This, he noted, would help create livelihood opportunities at the local level.

He further pointed out the lack of desired progress in Van Dhan Vikas Kendras and instructed officials to submit new proposals promptly to accelerate development. The letter also advised collectors to engage with local public representatives to draft innovative proposals and upload them on the PM Gati Shakti portal so that maximum benefit of the campaign reaches the tribal population.
