Udaipur: The Consumer Protection Organization organized its “Responsibility Assumption” and Felicitation Ceremony at Field Club, Udaipur, celebrating its commitment to consumer rights, safety, and awareness.
Chief Guest Nakshatra Talesara, Patron of the organization, emphasized that an aware consumer can never be cheated. He highlighted serious challenges like e-waste, adulterated food, and environmental crises, and stressed the need for awareness and collective action to address these issues.
Guest of Honour Dr. Sanjeev Tank (Deputy Superintendent, RNT Medical College) introduced the “Setu” mobile app, single-window health system, and barcode scanning facility, stating that free consumer health services like these are uniquely available in Udaipur across India.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Food Safety Officer, Udaipur, spoke about the Mobile Food Testing Van, saying, “Consumers have the right to test food quality in every ward, and can do so through the organization.”
National President Dr. Rajshree Gandhi, who presided over the event, said: “A vigilant consumer is the foundation of nation-building.”
She outlined the organization’s future goals, including the ‘War for Purity’ campaign, environmental awareness, consumer education for 5,000 students in schools and colleges, and regular medical and testing camps.
In the felicitation segment, Dr. Sanjeev Tank and Dr. Ashok Gupta were honored with the “Consumer National Pride Award”.
