Udaipur:Bollywood actor Nakul Roshan Sahdev visited the Jainam-14 Fair organized by the Women's Wing of Jain Jagruti Centre in Udaipur. The actor’s presence as a celebrity guest thrilled both exhibitors and visitors. He visited various stalls and interacted with key personalities like Dr. Sweety Chhabra (Director, NICC), Pinky Mandawat (Patron, Jain Jagruti Centre), Suman Lundia, Suman Jain, Sandhya Nahar, Rekha Kanthalia, Kavita Bohra, Pranita Talesra, Usha Hadpawat, and Meena Sisodia.

Expressing his pride, Nakul said, “Being a native of Udaipur, I feel deeply honored to witness such a large gathering of women entrepreneurs. Jain Jagruti is playing a pivotal role in empowering women — a true example of business connectivity.”

Heavy Footfall from Morning to Night

According to patron Pinky Mandawat, the second day of Jainam-14 witnessed heightened footfall, thanks to the weekend and pleasant weather. Visitors enjoyed shopping throughout the day, resulting in bustling activity and cheerful interactions between buyers and exhibitors at all stalls.

Sisters’ Love in Seed, Silver, and Silk

Rakhi sales saw an impressive boom at the fair. At "Gift of Tradition by Julie," handcrafted rakhi collections included silk, kundan, pearl, seed-based, and even plantable floral-vegetable rakhis, along with rakhi sets for brothers and sisters-in-law, roli-chawal plates, and courier-special rakhis — all ranging from ₹30 to ₹300.

Umang Jain of Art Street shared that customized rakhis, pooja thalis, roli-chawal sets, thali covers, traditional jhumkas, and peacock-feather rakhis were popular choices.
Gyayak Jain from Niva Diamonds highlighted silver rakhis priced from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500, which were highly appreciated and purchased.
Namrata from Namrata Creations added that traditional rakhi bangles for sisters-in-law and an extensive range of artificial jewellery were also drawing attention.

Women Enthralled by Housie Game

The second day also featured the all-time favorite Housie game, participated in by over 500 women. Suman Lundia, the event coordinator, stated that the excitement grew with each prize announced. All participants received gift hampers from NICC Director Dr. Sweety Chhabra, while Sheetal Porwal, Sharda Jangid, and Meena Jain won first, second, and third prizes respectively — with cash rewards worth thousands.

Joint Family Felicitation on Final Day

Organizers Rekha Hadpawat and Mamta Jain announced that on the concluding day, 20th July, a Joint Family Felicitation Ceremony will be held. Families spanning three to five generations, living together under one roof and sharing a common kitchen, will be honored — showcasing an inspiring model for the generations to come.
