Udaipur – The 126th bimonthly get-together of retired senior agricultural scientists was celebrated with warmth and enthusiasm at the MPUAT Guest House, under the chairmanship of Dr. L.S. Jain.
The event commenced with a soulful Saraswati Vandana by Dr. Vimal Sharma. Mrs. Vandana Gupta recited a heartfelt poem dedicated to teachers, titled "Jo Tera Saya Mila Hai". Mrs. Shakuntala Dhakad narrated an inspirational story, "Jeevh Ki Mahima", while Mrs. Yamini Jani chanted Vedic verses of daily worship. Dr. K.L. Totawat presented meaningful couplets titled "Praanvan Dohe", and Mrs. Shashikanta Kanthaliya spoke on the theme "Atyadhik Ko Nikaal Kar Sukh Paao" (Find peace by eliminating excess). Dr. L.L. Dhakad shared effective techniques to prevent age-related mental disorders like Alzheimer’s.
A mesmerizing Shiv Stuti dance was performed by Ms. Anushka, showcasing her exceptional talent.
In the musical segment, Dr. Ashok Gupta sang "Pyar Ka Pehla Khat Likhne Mein", while Dr. Vimal Sharma rendered "Ae Meri Zohra Jabeen", adding a nostalgic charm to the gathering.
Dr. P.C. Kanthaliya informed the attendees about the current status of the statewide pension issues of university employees and urged for unity and collective action.
New members, Mrs. Yamini and Dr. Piyush Jani, were warmly welcomed. Members who celebrated birthdays or wedding anniversaries this month were honored with traditional tilak, garlands, and Vedic chants wishing them health and happiness.
The program concluded with a fellowship lunch hosted by the family of Dr. Laxmi Lal Somani. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. S.C. Bharadwaj.
