Udaipur’s Sur Sangam Girls Shine in Vietnam

Udaipur: The girls of Udaipur’s Sur Sangam Sanstha showcased their remarkable dance talent at the 555th musical event of the Bharat Sanskritik Yatra, organized by Hindustan Kala evam Sangeet Society under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The event took place at the Hanoi Cultural Centre in Vietnam.

Indian Ambassador Sandeep Arya, Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. T. Ajangla Jamir, and SVCC Director Dr. Monika Sharma graced the occasion and emphasized the significance of cultural exchange in strengthening India-Vietnam relations.

Renu Gorer of Sur Sangam shared that the evening commenced with a captivating performance by the Sur Sangam Dance Academy, which infused the stage with vibrant energy and traditional elegance. The presentation celebrated the richness of Indian classical traditions and received heartfelt appreciation from the audience.

Students Nandini Trivedi and Kamakshi Meena secured first place in the senior and junior categories of classical Kathak, respectively, and also performed a graceful thumri with their guru, Mrs. Renu Gorer.

Other notable winners included:

Kavya Chauhan – 2nd place in Junior Folk Dance

Seema Pal – 2nd place in Semi-Classical (Open)

Dhruti Vishwakarma – 2nd place in Semi-Classical (Junior)

These achievements highlight the festival’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent in Indian classical and folk arts.
