Udaipur : A high-level meeting was organized at Raj Bhavan, Jaipur under the chairmanship of Governor Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde to promote bamboo cultivation in Rajasthan. The discussions focused on bamboo’s role in atmospheric carbon absorption, its environmental benefits, and its potential to increase farmers' income.

Renowned bamboo expert Shri Pasa Patel delivered a special lecture on the innovative uses of bamboo and its transformative multi-dimensional potential. Officials from the concerned departments gave detailed presentations on the progress and future action plans for bamboo cultivation in the state.
In his address, Dr. Karnatak highlighted the importance of bamboo in sustainable agriculture systems and described it as a profitable alternative for farmers.
The Hon'ble Governor emphasized the need to turn bamboo farming into a mass movement—a social campaign that not only empowers the rural economy but also plays a key role in environmental conservation.
On this occasion, the Governor presented a handcrafted bamboo wall clock to Dr. Karnatak, symbolizing the daily utility and ecological significance of bamboo.
The meeting concluded with a strong resolution that all concerned departments and research institutions would jointly take forward bamboo cultivation in mission mode.
