Udaipur:The FOGSI “SHARP” Vice President Conference 2025 was inaugurated with a Pre-Congress Workshop at Pacific Medical College & Hospital (PMCH), Udaipur – the city of lakes. This three-day conference, being held until July 13, 2025, is organized by the Udaipur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society. The theme of the event is "Salient Features of Safety and Health – For Research and Prevention."
The workshop was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati by Udaipur President and Conference Chairperson of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), Dr. Prakash Jain; FOGSI Treasurer and Organizing Secretary Dr. Niranjan Chavan; PMCH Principal Dr. U.S. Parihar; Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Workshop Chairperson Dr. Rajrani Sharma; and Scientific Director of PMCH IVF Unit Dr. Manisha Vajpayee.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Rajrani Sharma emphasized that the conference is not just confined to medicine—it is a platform where experienced and young doctors come together to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and pave the way for innovation and excellence.
The organizing team, including Conference Chairperson Dr. Komal N. Chavan, Co-Chair Dr. Prakash Jain, Organizing Secretary Dr. Niranjan Chavan, and Dr. Pradeep Bandwal, shared that the conference aims to unite experts from across the nation in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
The pre-congress workshop featured in-depth sessions on topics such as infertility, medical termination of pregnancy (MTP), cosmetic gynecology, vaginal surgeries, and other key gynecological procedures. Renowned doctors from across the country participated and enlightened attendees on the latest techniques and medical practices.
Led by Dr. Rajrani Sharma, the workshop witnessed intense discussions and knowledge exchange. Among the prominent specialists who took part were Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, Dr. Abha Gupta, Dr. Sanchita Dashora, Dr. Manisha Vajpayee, Dr. Monika Sharma, Dr. Rama Chundawat, Dr. Smita Bariya, Dr. Komal Jhanwar, Dr. Akanksha Agrawal, Dr. Ruchita Ranka, and Dr. Ruchi Joshi.
