Udaipur: On the occasion of World Population Day, Aishwarya College, Udaipur organized a series of events to highlight the need for population control, draw attention to the increasing pressure on natural resources, and emphasize the importance of population balance for sustainable development.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ritu Paliwal remarked that World Population Day provides society an opportunity to reflect on the consequences of unchecked population growth. She noted that if not controlled, challenges like resource scarcity, unemployment, and health crises may arise in the near future. The day serves to encourage people to become responsible citizens.
To mark the occasion, the college held speech competitions, essay writing, article writing, and other contests. Student Vibhav Ameta shared that the celebration aimed to raise awareness about the negative impacts of population growth, the importance of family planning, gender inequality, poverty, and maternal and child health.
