#### Vidyapeeth Becomes a Multidisciplinary University under NEP 2020 Guidelines
B.Pharm Course to Commence from New Session – Prof. Sarangdevot
Udaipur, An academic meeting of the faculty members of Lokmanya Tilak Teachers' Training College, a constituent of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, was held on Monday at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat in Pratap Nagar, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Shivsinh Sarangdevot.
While addressing the meeting, Prof. Sarangdevot announced that Rajasthan Vidyapeeth has now become a multidisciplinary university under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He stated that students can now enroll in various academic programs under one roof, and the concept of Meta University will also be introduced from this session, offering a new perspective in higher education.
Vidyapeeth will engage in academic collaborations with at least three local universities, an innovation that only Delhi University has implemented so far. This will allow students to benefit from courses and resources across different universities. Prof. Sarangdevot emphasized that academic professionals must remain updated with such developments.
He also informed that the admission process for the new session has already begun, and approval has been granted to start a four-year B.Pharm course in addition to the ongoing D.Pharm course at the Pratap Nagar campus, offering new opportunities to the youth.
Admissions are open across all faculties for the new session. Under Shramjeevi College, postgraduate programs such as M.A. in English, Economics, Geography, Sanskrit, Hindi, Sociology, Public Administration, Political Science, History, and M.Com. in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, and Financial Management are available. Science programs like B.Sc., M.Sc., and PG/Diploma in Astrology and Vastu Shastra are also being offered.
In the evening sessions, courses like Yoga Diploma, M.A. (Yoga), B.A.-LL.B., LL.M., Certificate in Cyber Law, Diploma in Law and Forensic Science, Diploma in Labor Law, Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, and Certificates in French/German/Spanish are available.
Under professional and employment-oriented programs, D.Pharm, B.Pharm, DCA, PGDCA, MCA, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, B.Ed. in Child Development, BBA/MBA in Travel-Tourism and Hotel Management, B.Sc. Nursing, GNM Nursing, Engineering Diplomas, Diploma in Archaeology and Museum Science, Spoken English Certificates, PG Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing, Diploma in Marketing Management, M.A. in Social Work, B.Sc. in Agriculture, and Kanya Mahavidyalaya courses are offered.
The university’s expansion under NEP 2020 reflects a robust and inclusive approach to quality education, skill development, and employability.
