When a Differently-Abled Person Stands, an Entire Family Rises

Udaipur: An emotional and heartfelt gathering titled Atmiy Sneh Milan was organized under the aegis of Narayan Seva Sansthan on Sunday at the Seva Mahatirth, Liyon Ka Guda. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the branch coordinators and supporters of the Sansthan from across India.

The event began with lamp lighting and was inaugurated by the founder Padma Shri Kailash 'Manav'. The special guests included Bhupendra Patel (Ahmedabad), Nand Kishore Goyal (Pali), and Adaram Bhatia (Mumbai).

Welcoming the guests, Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal reflected on the 40-year journey of the organization, highlighting that around 5 lakh differently-abled individuals have been empowered through free surgeries and artificial limbs, enabling them to stand and lead independent lives. However, he also emphasized that a large number of beneficiaries are still awaiting surgeries.

In the conference, Devendra Kumar from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh shared that the institute not only strengthened his legs through surgery but also helped him secure employment, thus supporting his entire family. Nikita from Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, who was born with polio and used to crawl, shared that thanks to surgery and calipers, she can now stand—and that her marriage is scheduled for August through the Sansthan’s support.

During the conference, Kailash 'Manav', President Prashant Agarwal, Directors Vandana Agarwal and Palak Agarwal honored the Bhamashahs (philanthropists) with shawls, dupattas, and mementos.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Trustee-Director Devendra Chaubisa, while the program was coordinated by Mahim Jain.
