Cardiac Care Boosted at Jaipur Military Hospital with Inauguration of Advanced Cath Lab

Jaipur, In a significant leap towards enhanced military healthcare, a state-of-the-art biplane Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (CCL)—the first of its kind in Jaipur—was inaugurated at Military Hospital Jaipur by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command, on Thursday.

This ultra-modern facility positions MH Jaipur among a select group of zonal and command hospitals equipped with comprehensive cardiac care infrastructure. Coupled with a non-invasive lab, the new CCL will serve troops, veterans, and their families across the region, addressing both acute cardiac emergencies and chronic heart conditions.

The lab is capable of performing a wide spectrum of cardiac procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, cardiac resynchronisation therapy, coronary imaging, electrophysiological studies, shock therapy, and structural heart interventions. With this addition, MH Jaipur is poised to become a tertiary-level cardiac care centre, offering most advanced cardiac procedures under one roof.

Wellness Initiatives Under Sapta Shakti Command

The Sapta Shakti Command, under the leadership of Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, has consistently focused on quality healthcare and wellness. A key milestone was the establishment of an Early Intervention Centre in December 2024, providing multidisciplinary services including paediatric care, psychiatric support, physiotherapy, speech therapy, special education, and clinical psychology.

Over the past year, MH Jaipur has organized 32 outreach programs, including:

Cataract Surgery Camps benefitting 250 patients,

Cancer Screening and Counselling Sessions, and

Blood Donation Drives.

These initiatives have seen overwhelming participation and significantly improved patient satisfaction.

To handle increased patient flow, two Integrated Health Centres have been set up near Pratap Lines and Tanot Brigade. Additionally, a Patient Transit Facility has been built to provide comfortable accommodation for the Next of Kin (NOK) and attendants of admitted patients.

Lt Gen Manjinder Singh reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring a healthier future for the military community, with continued support from veterans and stakeholders in healthcare delivery.
