Udaipur. As part of the De-addiction Week being observed by Prayag Seva Sansthan Nasha Mukti Rehabilitation Centre, Dheekli, a special awareness campaign under the Nari Vaibhav initiative was organized to empower women with a pledge for drug de-addiction awareness.
Addressing the gathering, Rudrapratap Singh, President of the Prayag Seva Sansthan Nasha Mukti Rehabilitation Centre, urged women to take the lead in this mission. He emphasized that if women step forward in this cause, society can be freed from addiction more quickly. He added that women possess immense willpower and have already helped thousands give up addictive substances.
Singh highlighted that women are often the first to protest against the opening of liquor shops in their neighborhoods, yet many individuals still resort to addiction either openly or secretly. He warned that even a single addicted person can bring ruin and disgrace to an entire family. He called upon women to remain vigilant about the habits of the youth in their families and to take firm action to help them quit any addictive behavior. If the addiction becomes severe, he encouraged them to bring such individuals to the rehabilitation centre for proper treatment and recovery.
Women present at the event also shared personal stories and experiences of how addiction had negatively affected their families and surroundings.
Also present at the event were social workers including Nishant Jeengar, Dinesh Gurjar, and other volunteers from Prayag Seva Sansthan.
