Raisinghnagar (Sri Ganganagar) – Emerging from the small village 10 M.K. in the tehsil of Raisinghnagar, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Lohra has achieved what now stands as a beacon of inspiration for lakhs of Indian youth. The son of a daily-wage labourer, Dr. Lohra has defied immense financial hardships and resource constraints to fulfil his dream. He has now been selected as a Scientist in the Central Silk Board, Bengaluru, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Dr. Lohra’s father, Shri Krishna Lal, supported the family through daily labour, and their financial condition has always been extremely modest. Despite growing up amidst adversity, Rakesh never gave up. With relentless determination and hard work, he climbed the ladder of success step by step.
As for his academic journey, Dr. Rakesh Lohra completed his early education at Government Higher Secondary School, Muklawa. He pursued his B.Sc. in Agriculture from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. He then earned both his Postgraduate and Doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
This remarkable achievement of Dr. Lohra is not only a matter of pride for his family, village, and district, but also serves as a powerful source of inspiration for all students who dare to dream despite adverse circumstances.
