After much anticipation, Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par has finally hit theatres—and it feels nothing short of a celebration. Touted as the spiritual sequel to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, the film had already generated excitement from the day of its announcement. With its inspiring, emotional storyline and the grand debut of 10 fresh faces, the film’s release has created quite a buzz.
Now that Sitare Zameen Par has graced the big screen, the response from across the country has been phenomenal. On its opening day, the film earned an impressive ₹11.7 crore, signaling a strong start at the box office. With positive reviews and strong word of mouth, audience enthusiasm continues to rise. Presented by Aamir Khan Productions, the film marks the debut of ten rising stars: Arush Dutta, Gopi Krishna Verma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The film is directed by R.S. Prasanna, known for the path-breaking hit Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. With Sitare Zameen Par, Prasanna returns in a massive collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions.
The film stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles. The soulful music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The screenplay is penned by Divya Nidhi Sharma, and the film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka.
Released in theatres on June 20, 2025, Sitare Zameen Par is already emerging as one of the biggest emotional blockbusters of the year, promising audiences a journey filled with heart, hope, and humanity.
