Demand Raised for Permanent Solution to Ongoing Power Disruptions in City and Suburban Areas

Udaipur | In protest against the persistent and irregular power cuts affecting Udaipur city and its suburban areas, the Udaipur City District Congress Committee submitted a memorandum to the Superintending Engineer of Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVNL) at Patel Circle today. The memorandum, led by District Congress President Fateh Singh Rathore, sought a permanent solution to the ongoing electricity crisis.

Fateh Singh Rathore stated that domestic consumers in the city are being subjected to repeated power cuts several times a day, often without prior notice. Even when information is shared in advance, the outages occur arbitrarily and do not follow the announced schedule, causing severe inconvenience to the public.

The Congress delegation demanded that the frequent and unjustified power cuts be immediately stopped and that the department implement a lasting resolution. They also urged the electricity department to improve its overall infrastructure, pointing out that the current situation has worsened even before the onset of monsoon. With the likelihood of storms during the monsoon, power disruptions could increase further if no remedial action is taken.

Those present while submitting the memorandum included former MLA Trilok Purbia, Block President Ajay Singh, City Congress Vice President Mohammad Ayub, General Secretary Dinesh Dave, Spokesperson Pankaj Paliwal, Former Councillor Shankar Chandel, Hidayatullah, Shehnaz Ayub, Batul Habib, Youth Congress President Harshvardhan Singh, Women Congress leaders Seema Pancholi, Najma Mevafrosh, Shanta Prince, Bablu Tank, Maya Surana, Siddharth Soni, Santosh Prajapat, Devendra Mali, Salim Khan, and several other Congress officials.

The memorandum emphasized the urgent need to upgrade the city's power infrastructure to ensure relief for the general public.
