Udaipur, On the occasion of World Environment Day, a seminar was organized at Vidya Bhawan’s Prakriti Sadhana Kendra, located in Bhiloka Bedla, where serious deliberations were held on the issue of plastic pollution.
Under the guidance of Dr. Jitendra Tayalia, President of Vidya Bhawan, and Rajendra Bhatt, Chief Director, the event emphasized the need to stop the use of single-use plastic at personal, family, and institutional levels. Speakers warned that unchecked use of polythene and plastic could lead to severe health hazards for humanity.
The seminar was attended by trainees of the Shiksha Sambal program (organized in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Limited), staff and students of various Vidya Bhawan institutions, teachers and students from Vivekanand Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, and environmentally conscious citizens from nearby villages and Udaipur city.
Dr. R.L. Shrimal, the program coordinator, informed that the event was chaired by Prof. Arun Chaturvedi, with Gopal Bamb, Pushpa Sharma, and other distinguished guests including snake expert Chaman Singh, sociologist Revati Raman Shrimali, Vijay Maru, Shailendra Singh Barhath, Pushpraj Singh, Dilesh Thomas, Prafulla Bhatnagar, Subhash Sharma, and Dr. Anil Mehta sharing their thoughts on environmental conservation.
The event concluded with a jungle walk and plantation drive, promoting awareness and direct action for nature conservation.
