Kota – In a significant breakthrough, the police team under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Gangasahay Sharma has arrested three accused involved in the firing incident at Rangpur railway bridge. According to City SP Amrita Duhan, the arrests were made in connection with the 22nd May attempted murder case where Mohammad Umar was shot at in the Bhimganj Mandi police station area.
The three arrested accused — Asif Gauri, Mohammad Taufiq alias Mikkku, and Kamran Gauri alias Kammu — were apprehended from the Railway Loco Colony. Earlier, the prime accused, history-sheeter Mohammad Kaleem Gauri of the Railway Colony area, had already been arrested, and a juvenile in conflict with law had been taken into custody.
Under DSP Sharma’s supervision, three police teams were formed:
Team 1 (Bhimganj Mandi Police Station): SHO Ramkishan Godara, SI Rajkumar, ASI Kamlesh Kumar, and constables Lokesh Swami, Mukesh, Vinod, Praveen, Hemant, and Nitesh.
Team 2 (Railway Colony Police Station): SHO Ramswaroop Meena, constables Ajit, Namonarayan, and Madanlal.
Team 3 (Cyber Cell and AGTF): Ajay Chaudhary, head constables Shyamveer (Cyber Cell), Ranjeet (AGTF), and constable Parmeshwar.
The joint efforts of all three teams led to the successful arrest of the fugitives. Notably, the police also conducted a public parade of the three accused in the Bhimganj Mandi area. The accused were seen with bandaged legs, suggesting they may have fallen while attempting to flee from police custody.
