Rekha Lodha ‘Smita’ Visits Udaipur; Addresses Orientation and Felicitation Session of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad

###Literature’s True Worth Lies in Fostering National Values – Smita

 

Udaipur:Renowned litterateur and Chittorgarh Province Sahitya Mantri of the Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Rekha Lodha ‘Smita’, was on a visit to Udaipur on Saturday. On this occasion, the Mahanagar unit of the Parishad organized an introductory and address session at the Sukhadia University Guesthouse auditorium.

In her address, Smita emphasized that the true purpose of literary creation is fulfilled only when it contributes to the inculcation of national values. Recalling the foundation objectives of the Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad established in 1966, she noted that those who have led the Parishad were among the most distinguished literary figures of their times. Referring to Pandit Vidyanivas Mishra, Jainendra Kumar, Sohanlal Dwivedi, and Dayakrishna Vijay, she said their writings nurtured the spirit of nationalism.

Highlighting the pressing need to instill a sense of national identity in the younger generation amid the challenges of the present time, Smita stated that the responsibility of literary figures has increased manifold. She also presented the outline of the Parishad’s upcoming programs and ceremoniously welcomed new members into the Udaipur Mahanagar unit by offering them traditional uparnas.

The event was graced by department coordinator Dr. Ashish Sisodia, city unit coordinator Kiran Bala Kiran, district coordinator Om Prakash, General Secretary Asha Pandey Ojha, Vice President Kapil Paliwal, Ashwini Vashishtha, Sunita Vashishtha, Poonam Bhu, Prakash Tated, Manmohan Madhukar, Dr. Gopal Rajgopal, Swati Shakunt, Vijay Maru, Jaydev Ujjwal, as well as numerous executive members, new inductees, and prominent literary figures and enthusiasts from the city.

Province-Level Story Competition Winners Felicitated

During the event, winners of the recently organized province-level story competition were honored with certificates and mementos by the guests. In the 40–60 age category, Priyanka Bhatt secured the third position, while in the 60–80 age group, Pramila Sharad Vyas won third place and Tarun Dadhich earned the second position.
