District Collector Reviews Progress of 'Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan' via Video Conference

Udaipur: A review meeting to assess the progress of the **'Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan'**, a campaign initiated for **water and environmental conservation**, was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of **District Collector Namit Mehta** through **video conferencing**.

During the meeting, the Collector reviewed the campaign's progress so far and discussed the schedule of upcoming activities. He emphasized the importance of **proper and timely reporting** of daily progress on the official **online portal** and directed all concerned officers to ensure this is being done consistently.

The meeting, held at the **Conference Hall of the Collectorate**, began with presentations by **IAS trainee Srishti Dabas** and **Superintending Engineer (Watershed) Atul Jain**, who discussed the activities conducted across different blocks and departments in the district. However, he noted shortcomings in **reporting**, stressing that the portal allows uploading details of **78 types of activities**, and every officer must ensure that **each event conducted in their area is properly reported online**.

He instructed that specific staff be appointed at the **block level** to handle this responsibility, with **regular monitoring** in place. Furthermore, he directed **Engineer Jain** to **share block-wise status updates three times a day**—at **9 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM**—to ensure real-time monitoring.

The Collector also reviewed preparations for **upcoming programs** and gave necessary instructions to ensure smooth execution of planned activities under the campaign.

The meeting was attended by **ADM (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore**, **Girwa SDM Sonika Kumari**, and officers from various departments. Additionally, **sub-divisional officers, development officers, tehsildars**, and **block-level officials** joined the meeting via video conference.
