Marking the first anniversary of the film Savi, actress Divya Khosla is celebrating a project that remains one of the most defining performances of her career. Directed by renowned filmmaker Abhinay Deo, Savi showcased a powerful transformation of Divya on screen—an emotionally gripping role that revealed her versatility, intensity, and commitment as an artist.
Released a year ago, the film featured Divya in the lead role of a housewife who refuses to back down in the face of adversity, fighting to prove her husband's innocence in a fabricated murder case. Reflecting on the film’s journey and the love it received from audiences, Divya shared,
“Savi will always be close to my heart and hold a special place in my life. It feels like just yesterday we were shooting with Harshvardhan Rane, Anil Kapoor, and our director Abhinay Deo. Playing Savi was incredibly challenging, but I knew I had to do it—to portray a woman who would go to any lengths for her husband.”
She further added,
“There can be no greater validation than the audience connecting with my character. I’m proud to have chosen a role that not only resonated emotionally but also contributed to the film’s commercial success.”
