Udaipur: A seven-day tobacco cessation awareness program, jointly organized by Pacific Dental College & Hospital, Debari, AOMSI, and IDA Udaipur branch, concluded on World No Tobacco Day. From May 26 onwards, awareness and oral cancer screening camps were held daily — at Pratapnagar Circle for laborers, Transport Nagar for truck drivers, and Madri Industrial Area for factory workers and staff.
Various activities such as poster making, rangoli, and competitions were organized for the students of Pacific Dental College. All dental professionals and students took a pledge to quit tobacco and administered the same oath to visiting patients, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco.
The program was graced by Principal Dr. Bhagwandas Rai, Dr. Kailash Asawa, Dr. Mridula Tak, Dr. Hemant Mathur, Dr. Himanshu Gupta, Dr. Bhavesh Kothari, and other dental surgeons.
