Dr. Vyas was a multifaceted personality — an accomplished academician, powerful orator, fearless leader, and a symbol of women empowerment. Throughout her life, she donned several significant roles: professor, poet, writer, legislator, Member of Parliament, Union Minister, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, and Minister in the Rajasthan Government. She was known for her dedication to the upliftment of marginalized communities and for being a strong advocate of gender equality.
As the State President of the Congress Party, she strengthened the organization and prioritized public service. Her simplicity, humility, and devotion to her work continue to inspire many. She made valuable contributions to the media cell, ideology division, and as chief editor of Congress mouthpiece Sandesh, where she effectively amplified the party’s vision and ideology.
It is even more heartbreaking that her death occurred due to an accident. The untimely loss of such a motivating and committed leader is a major blow. The vacuum created in the fields of society, politics, and education by her absence will be difficult to fill.
I pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to her family members, well-wishers, and followers to bear this immense loss.
