From Bikaner's desert, PM outlines ‘Operation Sindoor’, warns Pakistan, and inaugurates ₹26,000 crore development projects

Modi’s Thunderous Address in Bikaner Sends Strong Message Across Border

Bikaner, Rajasthan — Under the blazing sun of Rajasthan’s scorching desert in the holy month of Jyeshtha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fiery speech on Thursday that reverberated across the sands and deep into the neighboring country of Pakistan. Addressing a massive crowd near the border town of Bikaner, PM Modi’s booming declaration of strength and development was met with thunderous chants of “Modi-Modi,” reportedly shaking the resolve of the enemy across the border.

PM Modi was in Bikaner to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects worth ₹26,000 crore. The occasion also saw the presence of Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Arjun Ram Meghwal, among other dignitaries. The event witnessed participation from 18 states and union territories, with many governors, chief ministers, lieutenant governors, and public representatives joining online.

The Prime Minister began his address after seeking blessings at the revered Karni Mata temple in Deshnok. Highlighting India’s latest counter-terror initiative “Operation Sindoor,” he stated that the Indian Armed Forces had been given full operational freedom, resulting in decisive actions that forced Pakistan to its knees.

“When Sindoor (vermilion) turns to gunpowder, the outcome is inevitable,” Modi declared, referencing India's military retaliation following recent terror attacks. He asserted that any future terror strike from Pakistan would be met with a heavy cost—one to be paid by both Pakistan’s army and its fragile economy.

With a firm tone, Modi reiterated that India would have no trade or dialogue with Pakistan unless it revolved around Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. “If Pakistan continues exporting terror, it will face economic ruin,” he warned. “India will not allow even a drop of its rightful water to reach Pakistan. The bloodshed of Indians will be avenged.”

The Prime Minister recounted the recent retaliation to the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, stating that within just 22 minutes, nine major terror hubs across the border were obliterated. He stressed that Operation Sindoor was not an act of revenge but a mission for justice.

Drawing a symbolic connection, he noted that just like after the Balakot airstrike five years ago, his first rally post-Operation Sindoor also took place in Rajasthan, reaffirming the state’s role in India’s patriotic narrative.

Laying out the three guiding principles of India’s new security doctrine post-Operation Sindoor, PM Modi outlined:

Every terror attack on India will be responded to decisively, on India’s terms and timeline.

India will not be intimidated by nuclear threats.

No distinction will be made between terror masterminds and the governments that support them—directly implicating Pakistan as a state sponsor of terrorism.

He highlighted ongoing global efforts, involving seven different international groups comprising political leaders and foreign policy experts, to expose Pakistan’s duplicity on terrorism.

Transitioning to development, PM Modi stressed the link between national security and prosperity. “A developed India must be a secure India,” he said, pointing to a series of infrastructural milestones across Rajasthan.

He noted that in the last 11 years, nearly ₹70,000 crore had been invested in road infrastructure in the state, and the central government was spending ₹10,000 crore this year alone on railway development—a 15-fold increase over pre-2014 levels. He also flagged off a new Bikaner-Mumbai train, improving regional connectivity.

The Prime Minister praised Rajasthan’s rapid progress under CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s government, particularly in the industrial sector. He envisioned global recognition for local products like Bikaneri bhujia and rasgulla and underscored the nearing completion of the Rajasthan Refinery Project. Other key infrastructure highlights included:

The Amritsar-Jamnagar six-lane economic corridor passing through several western districts

The near-completion of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through Rajasthan

Expansion of the PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme, which has already benefited over 40,000 households in the state

On the water front, PM Modi paid tribute to Maharaja Ganga Singh’s visionary irrigation efforts that transformed the desert into fertile land. He emphasized the importance of ongoing river-linking projects, especially the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link, which promises to benefit several districts and bolster agricultural prospects.

As the crowd cheered, PM Modi concluded by underlining that India’s commitment to both development and defense is unshakeable. “This soil has sworn—India will never fall, never bow. And the world must know—India strikes not in anger, but in justice.”
