Grand Mass Wedding by Eklingnath Seva Sangathan Leaves All Spellbound

Udaipur: Emotions ran high and hearts overflowed with joy at the first-ever mass wedding ceremony organized by Shri Eklingnath Rashtriya Seva Sangathan on Saturday. The grand procession, featuring 15 horses, 5 royal carriages, 2 traditional bands, and a DJ sound system, stretched over half a kilometer, leaving everyone—from the grooms and brides to the guests—completely overwhelmed.

The procession began at Bohra Ganeshji Temple at 5:30 PM and passed through Sant Teresa School Road, University Road, Bekni Pulia, and Ayad, finally reaching Satyam Garden, where guests were greeted with a warm welcome and heartfelt hospitality. Along the way, multiple social groups honored the Eklingnath Sangathan volunteers and the wedding guests. The Torana ceremony, varmala, and pheras were conducted traditionally, followed by a cultural evening and bhajan program with captivating performances by Rajasthani artists.

The wedding was completely dowry-free and free from extravagance, with all arrangements made by the organization. Brides and grooms expressed their gratitude, saying they never dreamed of such a grand celebration. One bride said, “Even if we spent lakhs, we couldn’t have managed such perfect arrangements.”

Akash Bagdi, the Founder President of the Sangathan, received special honors at two points during the procession. The event was also graced by Patron Vinod Pandey, Nirmal Kumar Pandit, State President Deepak Menaria, and Women’s Wing State President Sonika Jain, who began the day with a prayer at Bohra Ganeshji, offering the first invitation to the deity.

A unique highlight of this event was the 30-year agreement signed by the couples. As per the terms, in case of disputes, couples must first consult the organization instead of going to the police or court. The organization will conduct two rounds of counseling, and if the issue remains unresolved, the groom's side must pay ₹1,00,000 to the bride’s family before taking further steps.

This historic initiative showcased the unity of all communities, empowered social harmony, and redefined marriage by promoting simplicity, responsibility, and mutual respect.
