Lagna Likhai Ritual to Be Held on May 14 at Bohra Ganeshji Temple

### Sacred Bonds, No Price: Ekalignath Seva Sansthan’s All-Community Mass Wedding on May 17

Udaipur – In a heartwarming initiative rooted in unity and compassion, Shri Ekalignath Rashtriya Seva Sansthan is set to host an All-Community Mass Wedding on May 17 in Udaipur. As part of the ceremonial prelude, the traditional “Lagna Likhai” ritual will be observed on Wednesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at the sacred Bohra Ganeshji Temple.

The visionary behind this noble cause, Aakash Bagdi, founder and president of the Sansthan, shared that all arrangements for the event have been completed. “This is Rajasthan’s first inclusive mass wedding ceremony that welcomes couples from all communities without charging a single rupee,” said Bagdi. “The entire event is strictly dowry-free and devoid of pomp or extravagance.”

Eleven couples have already registered for the ceremony. Both families of the bride and groom have been invited to the Lagna Likhai, which is traditionally considered the formal commitment before the wedding.

Bagdi emphasized that all wedding arrangements—including attire, ceremony, venue, and feast—will be provided completely free of cost by the Sansthan. The only condition is mutual consent between the bride and groom, who must both be legally adults, and full agreement to the principles of simplicity and dignity.

On May 17, the wedding day, a grand procession will begin at 3 p.m. from Bohra Ganeshji Temple and proceed to Satyam Garden at Mahasatiya Chouraha. The procession promises traditional glory with elephants, horses, carriages, and musical bands. Both families can invite up to 50 guests each, ensuring an intimate yet festive environment.

Adding a spiritual touch, the celebration will conclude with a Bhajan Sandhya dedicated to Maa Ambe, lighting up the evening with devotional music.

What makes this initiative truly unique is a 30-year agreement signed by both bride and groom. If any disputes arise during this period, the couple agrees to first consult the organization instead of immediately seeking legal recourse. As per the guidelines shared by the Sansthan’s patrons Nirmal Kumar Pandit and Vinod Pandey, there will be two rounds of counseling. Should the relationship still falter, the groom’s side must offer ₹1 lakh to the bride’s side as a dignified closure.

Applications from genuinely needy couples are still being accepted until May 16. This event is not merely a wedding—it's a movement towards a dowry-free, inclusive society where love and consent triumph over caste, class, and cost.
