Udaipur witnessed an unforgettable spiritual evening on the third and final day of the grand Shri Shyam Mahotsav, organized by Shri Khatu Shyam Mitra Mandal Trust at Fateh School. The venue was transformed into a divine spectacle, evoking the sacred presence of Lord Krishna, Vasudev crossing the Yamuna, blessings from Lord Ganesha, and the aura of Salasar Balaji. The highlight remained the majestic presence of Lord Khatu Shyam, whose darshan left devotees emotional and awestruck.
Thousands of devotees thronged the venue and remained immersed in devotional fervor throughout the night. The bhajan renditions by noted singers like Nandu Maharaj, Naresh Saini from Gurugram, Bantu Bhaiya from Najafgarh, Mahaveer Agrawal Vasu from Delhi, and Mayur Rastogi created a spiritually charged atmosphere. The devotees danced, swayed, and sang along, completely losing themselves in divine ecstasy.
The Mahotsav had been in preparation for over a month. After the Nishan Yatra and Mehendi ceremony, Saturday witnessed a vibrant and soulful Shyam Kirtan. Every devotee was welcomed as a VIP, adorned with an upper cloth as a blessing from Baba. Prior to darshan, their hands were washed with Ganga Jal, Kalawa tied, and Tilak applied—a well-organized ritual that ensured smooth spiritual engagement.
Mahaveer Agrawal Vasu initiated the Kirtan with Ganesh Vandana, followed by soul-stirring bhajans. Nandu Maharaj captivated the audience with his compositions and held their attention for over three hours. His emotionally resonant hymns brought tears to many eyes. Naresh Saini and Bantu Bhaiya followed, each offering a divine musical experience through their powerful performances.
The evening also featured a special darshan as Baba’s Sheesh was brought from Delhi and ceremoniously installed. A grand Chhappan Bhog was offered, and the deity was adorned with flowers from Delhi and Kolkata. The darbar was themed around the ocean and featured a 3D setup with graphic design used for the first time in Udaipur.
The event concluded with a divine fragrance shower using attars from Mumbai, Ajmer, and Beawar, and the setting up of designated stalls for footwear and belongings by a team from New Delhi. A community feast (bhandara) served thousands with devotion and dignity, rounding off a blissful and spiritually fulfilling celebration.
