Consumer Awareness Seminar and National Honour Ceremony Held
One-Day Seminar and “Consumer National Pride Award” Recognize Social Contributions
Udaipur : A one-day Consumer Awareness Seminar and "Consumer National Pride Award" ceremony was organized by the Consumer Protection Organization at Hotel Dev Darshan, Udaipur. The program was coordinated by Shirish Nath Mathur, National Coordinator.
The chief guest of the event, Kuldeep Sharma, Additional District Judge and Full-Time Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, emphasized in his address that although the consumer is considered the king of the market, today’s digital age demands high awareness and caution. He explained that when goods are bought or sold via e-platforms, different laws and jurisdictions apply—knowledge of which is crucial for consumers to avoid fraud or deception. He urged consumers to ensure transactions only through verified platforms.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Rajshree Gandhi, National President of the Consumer Protection Organization, stated that consumer awareness is not just a right but a necessity. In the current era, issues like hoarding, black marketing, overcharging, poor post-sale service, and mental harassment of customers are common. Hence, every consumer must be vigilant and well-informed.
Pawan Jain from Padmavat Media highlighted the role of print media in protecting consumer rights.
At the beginning of the program, District President Praveen Nahar welcomed the guests.
State Vice President Paras Khurdia assured that similar consumer awareness events will continue in the future.
Dr. Alpana Bohra, District President of the Women's Wing, honored all women attendees and emphasized the need for women to be alert about their rights, as they are central to both family and society.
The organization honored individuals for their contributions in education, social service, healthcare, and journalism with the prestigious “Consumer National Pride Award.”
