42-Day Summer Camp Begins in Udaipur

 

Udaipur: A 42-day summer training camp organized by Kalakendra Udaipur commenced today at Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya campus, Sector 4, Hiran Magri. The camp, running until June 15, was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Dr. Himmat Lal Vaya, Director of the institute.

Dr. Vaya emphasized the importance of such camps in promoting physical hygiene and mental development among children and adults alike. He stated that along with academics, these camps play a key role in nurturing discipline, values, and holistic growth in children.

Trainers Aruna Chauhan and John Parmar informed that the camp will include fitness sessions like yoga, aerobics, and Zumba. Special emphasis will be placed on weight loss, cleansing of mind-body-soul through yoga, strengthening back muscles, reducing obesity, and enhancing control over senses.

Dance training will cover Bollywood, Rajasthani, classical, hip-hop, garba, contemporary, freestyle forms, along with performance preparation for musical evenings, family functions, and school-college competitions.

Morning yoga sessions will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 AM, dance classes from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, and evening sessions from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Every Sunday, a free yoga session will be conducted for people of all age groups from 7:00 to 8:30 AM. Participants are advised to bring their own mats.

All participants will be awarded certificates upon successful completion of the camp. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by trainer Aruna Chauhan.
