The grand celebration was graced by several noted personalities including Feroz Khan (famed as Arjun from Mahabharat), Gajendra Chauhan, Abha Parmar, Ashoke Pandit, Ashok Dubey, Sajid Khan, Prashant Virendra Sharma, Rajeev Nigam, Alexx O’Nell, Vikram, and many others.
The evening featured a soulful musical performance by Shujat Ali Khan and a hilarious stand-up comedy act by mimicry artist Nityanand Anand, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia, celebration, and inspiration.
At the 12th Annual Awards Ceremony (2025), Production Executives, Managers, Controllers, and Line Producers from the fields of feature films, TV serials, and ad films were honored with awards and certificates of recognition.
The Association was originally established in 1975 under the Trade Union Act, 1926 by visionaries like Late R.K. Handa, Ram Milan Verma, Manik Gupta, V.K. Mathur, Gangadharam, and Harrington Bernard, under the name Association of Cine Production Executives. Contributions by Manik Gupta, Mohammad Shafi, Bhushan Verma, and Gyan Sachdev played a pivotal role in its foundation.
Later, to accommodate the growing number of professionals from television and advertising, the body was renamed Association of Cine & TV/Ad Production Executives. The association also gained recognition from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Its journey from temporary offices in Khar and Natraj Studios to acquiring a permanent office in Adarsh Nagar, Andheri West, jointly with the Art Directors Association, and eventually becoming sole owner in 2004, marks a significant milestone.
In 2001, the Association began honoring the unsung heroes of the production industry through annual awards, celebrating their critical yet often overlooked contributions.
With dynamic leaders like Surendra Srivastava, Radheshyam Gupta, Prakash Upadhyay, Shailesh Pandya, Deepak Kumar Chaudhary, Sanjay Sharma, Imran Merchant, Bhavesh Panchmatia, Ravi Chaturvedi, Santosh Jadhav, Naveen Rai, Kiran Shahi, Parvez Alam Khan, Ashok R. Dubey, Tapan Kumar Singh, and Surendra Malhotra, the Association embraced modernization and launched its own website to better connect with and support its members.
Despite facing challenges like the PMC Bank crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association remained resolute—waiving membership fees in 2020, distributing ration kits, and facilitating direct financial aid through FWICE.
Now standing tall after five decades, the Association of Cine & TV/Ad Production Executives is a beacon of unity, perseverance, and progressive vision, continuously striving to ensure medical support, scholarships, fair remuneration, and professional rights for its members.
