Udaipur: On the occasion of International Women's Day 2025, an important initiative was launched under the guidance of the National Commission for Women, New Delhi, to promote family prosperity. District President Mrs. Mamta Kunwar Pawar inaugurated the "Tere-Mere Sapne" Pre-Marital Communication Center at the Dhanlaxmi Center, Panchayat Samiti Girwa on Saturday. The center aims to provide guidance on the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of married life, helping couples lead a healthier, happier, and more balanced married life.
The services at the center will be available free of charge. According to the National Commission for Women, most of the grievances they receive are related to domestic disputes. To address these issues, the Commission has initiated this unique center to promote open dialogue, informed decision-making, and a culture of mutual respect within marriages. This is one of 22 such centers being set up across India.
The Chairperson of the National Commission for Women emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "A successful marriage is not just about rituals but is based on understanding, trust, and communication." The "Tere-Mere Sapne" center aims to equip youth with the tools needed to enter marital life with confidence and clarity.
The center will offer pre-marital education through structured workshops, seminars, videos, group sessions, and dialogues between youth and their families. The education provided will focus on building trust and understanding in marriage and relationships. Key issues such as emotional intelligence, financial management, family expectations, and individual aspirations will be addressed.
This program will be conducted in collaboration with policy officers, social organizations, and the Women and Child Development Department. The primary objective is to reduce cases of domestic violence, abuse, and marital discord, fostering more stable and balanced marriages. "Tere-Mere Sapne" is not just a conversation starter but a step toward building a future where marriages are based on mutual understanding, emotional strength, and shared dreams.
The event was attended by Sanjay Joshi, Deputy Director, Dr. Gayatri Tiwari, Family Counseling Expert, Vimla Veerwal, Suman Veerwal, Kulasha Salvi, and other counselors from the Pannadhay Security and Honor Center.
