India’s First World Peace Center Inaugurated

Gurugram : India’s first World Peace Center, an initiative by Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti under the guidance of Jain Acharya Lokesh, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony at Sector 39, Gurugram. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Bihar Governor Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, and several eminent spiritual leaders, including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu, Swami Govinddev Giri, and Swami Ramdev.  

On this occasion, Swami Ramdev sent his blessings and congratulatory message, while religious and social leaders from across the country gathered to celebrate this historic initiative. The center aims to serve as a hub for fostering global peace, non-violence, and harmony.  

A Landmark for Global Peace and Unity  
In his keynote address, former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind emphasized that the World Peace Center will act as a guiding force for establishing peace and harmony, not just in India but across the globe. He stated that the voice of this center will be heard at international forums like the United Nations and the World Parliament of Religions. He described the inauguration as a ‘Mahakumbh’ of spirituality and social service, expressing confidence that the center will accelerate efforts toward a harmonious and peaceful world.  

Spiritual Leaders Endorse Peace Mission 
Acharya Lokesh ji highlighted the importance of establishing such a center in today’s world, which faces increasing challenges like violence, war, environmental degradation, and inequality. He asserted that the center will play a crucial role in transforming society through spiritual awakening and moral values.  

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar praised the efforts of Acharya Lokesh in reviving ethical and spiritual consciousness amidst rising materialism. He stated that the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The world is one family) will be reinforced through this initiative.  

Swami Ramdev acknowledged the global impact of the World Peace Center under the leadership of Acharya Lokesh. He said the center is not just an Indian initiative but a worldwide effort to establish non-violence, uplift human values, and nurture a national character based on peace and harmony.  

Morari Bapu expressed confidence that the teachings and ideals of Bhagwan Mahavir, Shri Ram, Lord Buddha, and Guru Nanak will be spread from this seven-story center, which stands on the four foundational pillars of right knowledge, philosophy, character, and penance.  

Political Leaders Applaud the Initiative  
Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria lauded Acharya Lokesh as a son of Rajasthan who has brought pride to India through his contributions to communal harmony. He noted that Acharya Lokesh has been honored with the National Communal Harmony Award by the Government of India, as well as the prestigious American Presidential Award.  

Bihar Governor Shri Arif Mohammad Khan emphasized that the World Peace Center is a vital step toward fostering religious tolerance, social unity, and a culture of mutual respect.  

Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini remarked that Gurugram, the land from where the message of the Bhagavad Gita was spread, will now also become a beacon for global peace and human welfare through this center.  

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya highlighted that the center will carry forward the nation-builders' ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, strengthening the spirit of service and social harmony.  

Global Religious Gathering – Virat Sant Sammelan 
A Virat Sant Sammelan (Grand Religious Congregation) was organized as part of the inauguration, where prominent spiritual figures such as Bhaishree Rameshbhai Ojha, Buddhist monk Sanghasena, Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Swami Dharamdev, Swami Dipankar, Shri Paramjit Singh Chandauk, Swami Abhay Das, Shri Pundarik Goswami, and Devi Chitralekha addressed the gathering.  

These leaders spoke about the significance of global unity, religious tolerance, and ethical living, reinforcing the center’s mission of creating a peaceful and harmonious society.  

Recognition of Supporters and Contributors 
During the ceremony, several individuals who contributed to the establishment and success of the World Peace Center were honored by former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind and Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria.

Successful Organization of the Event  
The event was efficiently managed by Ramesh Tiwari and Colonel T.P. Tyagi. Key contributors to the program’s success included Veer Jain, Hitesh Jain, Manish Jain, Kenu Aggarwal, Bhavya Srivastava, Javed Khan, Vineet Kumar, Anant Muni, and Pawan Dhankar.  

The inauguration saw participation from dignitaries and spiritual leaders from across the globe, including delegations from the United States, Dubai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Delhi. The overwhelming support and presence of such a diverse gathering further reinforced the significance of the World Peace Center as a global hub for peace and harmony.
