Udaipur — Senior Rajasthan Administrative Service officer O.P. Jain has assumed the role of Director at the Maniklal Verma Tribal Research and Training Institute. Upon taking charge, Jain received an overview of departmental activities from the institute's Statistical Director, Ms. Archana Ranka. Jain emphasized the urgent need to expedite the empanelment of coaching institutions under the Anuprati Coaching Scheme and to commence NEET coaching for eligible tribal students immediately.
Co-Academician Ms. Pragya Saxena briefed the new Director on the institute's arts and cultural activities, including the ongoing Gawri performance at the Indian Folk Arts Mandal campus. She advised Jain to visit the folk arts mandal to view the Gawri performance and instructed a committee meeting to revise the honorarium for the Gawri artists. Jain also directed the museum supervisor from the Archaeological Department of Udaipur to discuss and present an estimate for museum work.
Jain met with the institute's officials and staff, reviewed the institute's facilities, and set expectations for timely execution of departmental activities. Following his assumption of office, Jain paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of the Tribal Regional Development Department, Pragya Kevalramani. Jain, who has transferred from the position of Registrar at Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, is the most senior RAS officer currently posted in Udaipur.
