Udaipur, Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is tirelessly working towards educational advancement in the state. The support provided by the Bhamashahs is being utilized to enhance the quality of education and expand facilities in schools. As the Education Minister, I assure that every penny donated by the Bhamashahs will be put to good use.

On Sunday, Education Minister Shri Dilawar addressed the 28th state-level Bhamashah Award Ceremony organized by the Department of Education at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in the Mohanlal Sukhadia University campus. The event was presided over by the Minister of Tribal Regional Development, Shri Babulal Kharadi. The ceremony was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasia, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Udaipur MLA Tarachand Jain, Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Gogunda MLA Pratap Gameti, Vallabhnagar MLA Udaylal Dangi, Rajsamand MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, former MLA Banshilal Khatik, District Chief Mamta Panwar, Mayor GS Tank, social worker Ravindra Shrimali, Chandragupta Singh Chauhan, Pramod Samar, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, Deputy District Chief Pushkar Teli, and Director of Sanskrit Education Poonam, among other distinguished guests.

For the first time, the state-level ceremony was held outside the capital, Jaipur, in Udaipur. Shri Dilawar mentioned that the tradition of honoring Bhamashahs, initiated by the then Chief Minister Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in 1995, continues to this day with positive outcomes. This year, Bhamashahs contributed over ₹140 crore for the schools in the state. The funds are being used to provide physical facilities, smart classes, and other resources in schools. Highlighting the importance of donations, he said, "Just as a well refills with water a few hours after irrigation, similarly, investing money in good deeds yields double the benefits."
**Bhamashahs are Divine:**
He further stated that a person who understands the pain of others can never be ordinary. All Bhamashahs who donate for education are divine beings, who understand the struggles faced by children in their education and contribute to providing them with better facilities. The Education Minister began by paying tribute to the land of Mewar, which has produced brave souls like Maharana Pratap and Bhamashah. He also remembered Rana Punja, Veerbala Kalibai, and Govind Guru, and paid homage to them. He stated that Rajasthan is a land of great men, sacrifice, penance, bravery, and the tradition of Bhamashahs.
**Introducing Innovations:**
Education Minister Shri Dilawar also informed about the innovations being undertaken by the state government and the education department. He emphasized keeping the school premises clean to maintain a conducive learning environment. Teachers will not be allowed to leave for religious ceremonies during school hours. They will also be prohibited from bringing mobile phones into classrooms. Additionally, a weekly revision system is being implemented for students. The winter vacation schedule will also be revised, with holidays declared only during severe cold weather.
**Call for Plastic Elimination:**
The Education Minister stressed the need to eliminate plastic. He stated that plastic is not only harming the environment but also endangering the lives of cows. He urged everyone present in the auditorium to support the plastic elimination campaign.
**Government Committed to Educational Advancement in Tribal Areas:**
In his presidential address, Minister of Tribal Regional Development Shri Babulal Kharadi highlighted the significance of donations through historical and mythological stories of Dadhichi, Vaman Avatar, and Pratap-Bhamashah. He assured that the state government is committed to expanding and strengthening educational facilities in tribal areas.
**Publication Release:**
During the ceremony, the Education Minister and other dignitaries released a publication based on the support provided to the department and its effective utilization. The program began with the collective singing of the national song, Vande Mataram. The guests lit a lamp and garlanded the images of Goddess Saraswati and Bhamashah. Education Department Secretary Krishna Kunal welcomed everyone and provided details of the event. Director Ashish Modi, Joint Director Udaipur Mahendra Kumar Jain, and other officials welcomed the guests by presenting them with safa and bouquets. The guests also released the publication on the occasion.
**Three World Records in Tree Plantation:**
Under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, over 60 million saplings were planted in the state's schools during the Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Campaign - "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" held on 7th and 8th August. A record of approximately 25 million saplings was planted in a single day. The Education Department set three world records during the tree plantation campaign. Representatives from the World Record Institute presented the certificates for these world records to Education Minister Shri Madan Dilawar during the ceremony.
**Honoring the Education Minister:**
In the ceremony, representatives from the Shrinathji Temple Board Nathdwara, led by Sudhakar Shastri, honored Education Minister Dilawar by draping a shawl and offering an upra. On this occasion, Mohanlal Shrimali from Haldighati presented a portrait of Maharana Pratap.
**Honoring 157 Bhamashahs:**
At the state-level ceremony, 157 Bhamashahs who donated to schools across the state were honored with certificates of appreciation and mementos. Education Minister Shri Dilawar, TAD Minister Shri Kharadi, and others conferred the titles of "Shiksha Vibhushan" and "Shiksha Bhushan" upon the Bhamashahs. The state-level ceremony's nodal officer and Joint Director (School Education) Mahendra Kumar Jain informed that Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, Rawatbhata (Rajasthan), achieved the distinction of being the largest donor by contributing ₹14 crore 11 lakh 57 thousand 824. Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited came second with a donation of ₹8 crore 73 lakh 15 thousand 21. Modison Charitable Trust Mumbai donated ₹8 crore 50 lakh, Temple Board Nathdwara ₹6 crore 97 lakh, QRG Foundation Alwar ₹5 crore 71 lakh 94 thousand 793, Gautam R.
